  • Choosing the Appropriate Wedding Speech

Your wedding speech should match your speaking style and how you feel about the Bride/Groom.

Pick the Speech that Describes the Bride/Groom
There are so many wedding speech companies available, it is almost impossible to not find one that describes how you see him or her. Don’t wait until the last minute, or you will have to pay big for a custom made wedding speech. Make sure to think it through. Write down the attributes you see in them and choose the speech that includes those attributes.

    Consider Your Own Personality
If you are not a long winded person, try not to get a lengthy speech. This is self-explanatory though. A person that is short and to the point would sound monotone at the end of a long speech due to him/her getting “tired”.

If you are light-hearted person, try to find a wedding speech that shows that quality as you will be more comfortable and deliver better. You would sound more authentic as a result.

How Much Control Do You Have

One of my customers recently told me she had to close down her business due to an illness. Another closed his business because he wasn’t making enough money. A friend was stunned when her husband told her he wanted a divorce.
One of my customers recently told me she had to close down her business due to an illness. Another closed his business because he wasn’t making enough money. A friend was stunned when her husband told her he wanted a divorce.

Each of us faces different life challenges. Loss of a loved one, lack of success in a job, lack of success in reaching a goal. We can experience downward spirals in our lives, unanticipated, and we are unprepared. Maybe some could be averted, others could not.

How much control do you have over your life?

Control is a funny thing. It’s as if we seek it but, at the same time, find ways to sabotage the chance to have the control we could have in our lives.

Some people think they can control end results, outcomes. I don’t think so.

I think you control the actions you take to get there. But you don’t control other variables that come into play. The universe has it’s own way of working…

Writers from William James to Stephen Covey to Brian Tracy to mention a few, are all addressing this key point in one way or another: You control your actions, not the outcomes. It does help if you know enough about universal principles because that helps you decide on better actions.

But back to control. Think of control on these 3 levels:

Level 1: Direct Control. All you really have direct control over is your thoughts, your feelings, your actions. Nothing else. You may ‘want’ to have direct control over your children but once they become a certain age, you are in the indirect control level. You do not have direct control over other people. They have direct control over themselves. If you think otherwise, you may be behaving in a way that makes others feel you’re ‘controlling’.

Level 2: Indirect Control. This level is the same as ‘influence’. You may be able to influence your boss, customers, spouse, children but you truly do not control what they will do. Only they control that.

Do your best to influence them for the right reasons. Then let it go. Adjust or adapt to the result so that you can have peace of mind.

Level 3: No Control. This is the level over which you have almost no influence and in many cases, none at all. People ‘moan and groan’ about events at this level: how the president of their company isn’t making the right decisions or how the president of their country isn’t, for example.

But why be miserable about things over which you have no control? If you feel you can influence a key figure to take action, then make a call or write that letter. Then let it go.

Clearly, focusing your energy first on Level 1 is most effective because you have 100% control over your thoughts, feelings, and actions. That’s 100% control that you have! Make the most of it every day.

Homeowner Loans - Drawing Lessons of the Past

Loans are not of a recent origin. People used to take help from others even at times when money was unseen and barter was the mode of trade prevalent. However, the form of loans has changed over time. In those days the loans used to be offered in kind. Now, they are offered in money or in terms of money.

However, the concern for the safety of the amount lent has not changed a bit. The most preferred loans are those which are offered with sufficient backing. The backing in most cases is of the house and property of the borrower. Thus, these are also known as loans for homeowners.

Loans for homeowners, as can be recollected from the above are loans which are offered to homeowners with home or property serving as a collateral. These accrue interest at a certain rate which is added to the principal amount. They are repayable through small instalments or any method desired by the borrowers.

Offering the home as collateral does not cease the rights of the borrowers as the owner of the home. Though the lender holds the ownership rights to the home, these are exercisable only when the borrower does not repay the entire amount of the loan. The borrower stays in the home and even regains the rights when the final instalment to the loan is paid. Borrowers can sell off the home put as collateral, provided it is allowed by the lender. They will however have to repay the entire amount of the loan with the sale proceedings received. Alternatively, the loan will be attached to the new home or property purchased.

But, can the worst nightmare regarding the repossession of home ever come true? Yes it can. The lenders will, after resorting to all steps to get the money back, resort to repossession of the home, if the borrower does not repay the loan in full.

The failure in making payments to the loan is generally attributed to an intentional default on the part of the borrower. Though the reason cannot be altogether cancelled out, the cases are relatively less. Seldom will borrowers desire to endanger their homes by being irregular in the repayments.

A more relevant reason explaining the defaults are the wrong decisions that people tend to make when going for loans. Most of the decisions are made in haste or without having a proper knowledge of the subject. People rarely foresee the effects the decision can have on the future of the loan. These make the repayments difficult. People try to provide for them with their limited monthly incomes. When they cannot or when other important expenditures take a major share on the income, they default on the repayments.

The following section will describe the wrong decisions made by borrowers and how they can improve their state by learning from their mistakes.

Decision on the amount of loan:
This is the biggest mistake that people tend to make when looking for loans. Had the loans required no repayment, there would have been no limits to the borrowings. Since these are to be repaid along with an interest for the period, it will be necessary to consider carefully ones repayment capacity before deciding the amount of loan. Not only the present income but the projected income at the time of repayment will have to be considered while deciding the amount. The amount of equity in the home also decides the loan granted. However, it will not be advisable to exhaust the equity in home at one single instance.

    Decision on the interest rate
Who thought interest is simply a single digit factor having not much of significance in the final cost. The search process can be time taking. People take up loans with interest rates higher than what they are eligible to get.

Interest is set as a percentage of the loan amount. It is dependant on a number of factors like the interest rate prevalent in the market, type of loan taken, case factors of the borrower, etc. Thus the interest charged may differ with the lenders. People can get exclusive deals in loans if a proper search is made. Awareness of the various interest options like discounted interest rate, capped rate, and fixed rate can also help lower the cost of repayments.

    Decision on the loan provider
The loan provider as we learnt plays an important role in the loans for homeowners. The offerings of the lenders may differ because of the discounts and offers appended. A reputable lender is attached to many more lenders. Thus a single application is routed to hundreds of other lenders. This increases the size of lenders available. There are many more advantages of dealing with the reputable lenders. The service that these lenders provide is more trustworthy. They comply with the legal and quality certifications in offering the financial products, thus making their services unmatched.

    Decision on repayment
The borrower rids himself of the loan by repaying the amount. The most conventional form of repayment is through monthly or quarterly instalments. This is useful for the borrowers who receive a fixed income. The instalment is chosen by the borrower according to his income. Borrowers can lessen the amount of monthly repayments by paying only the interest. This is an interest only method of making repayments. Repayments can also be made all at once to save on the interest cost.
According to an old maxim it is human to do mistakes, but it is foolish to repeat the mistakes. The experiences with a former loan can serve as a lesson for those who are struggling to come out of the loan trap. The first timers in the loans market however do not need to take the dip to learn the ways of the loan market. Learning from the experiences of the predecessors can protect them from being trapped in such deals.

    “Break Free Now”

Every outstanding achievement starts with a minority of one. When
Mohammed Ali announced I am the greatest, only he believed it. And he believed it from the marrow of his bones. Then he prepared himself. He practiced, drilled, rehearsed. Just as you are to do. He strengthened his muscles as he strengthened his resolve. Just as you are to do. He became a powerhouse of implacable commitment to be what he said he was. Just as you are to do.

Think about it. An affirmation, a bald, bold, audacious affirmation became reality. And within his sphere and his time in history, he made himself the greatest.

Is there an idea here for you? I think so. OK, how do you create the conditions and circumstances, the vivid, living, breathing, palpitating reality of you-and I do mean you-being personally great in your sphere, in your time in history-being personally great as an expert who speaks.

It’s not so hard. Not if you have a plan.

    1. Start with your essence. With your personal essence. What are you really about? What right do you have to stand before audiences sharing your wisdom? What have you to offer that is unique and special? What sets you apart from all other experts who speak? This is your core value. Identify and exploit your core value. Until you do you’re not ready for the big room, the main stage, the general sessions or keynote slots.

    2. Develop an hour of pure value. Principles and what-to’s. Lace it with a touch of humor. Include pauses to let your key ideas sink in. Do your out-of-town tryouts, your shakedown cruise at service clubs. Trim it down. Get the bugs out.

    3. Create a couple of hours of how-to’s. This is your concurrent session.
Be ready to expand this to whatever time length best works for the clients you want to serve. To see if this will play in Peoria, offer to present fund raisers for Chambers of Commerce near your home. They promote. You present. You split the take 50-50. They love this because it shovels cash into their treasury while it served their community.

    4. Now put on your marketing hat. Start to write articles revealing your expertise. If you have case studies, before-and-after tales of the difference your insights make, share them. Discover how to do both inbound and outbound marketing. Market relentlessly

    5. Develop your one-sheet and your other marketing tools. Include great letters of commendation: How it was before you came along compared to how it is now. Glowing words of praise about the outcomes you produce.

    6. Design your Mission Statement. Make it magnificent. Better yet, let it be transcendent. Allow it to be your guiding light, your reason-to-be.

    7. Energize your actions. Get behind your intentions with bulldog tenacity.
Believe wholly in what you’re about. Back your belief with fire in your belly. Be resolute about making yourself the master of your personal universe.

Jammin’ with Your Kids: The Wonderful World of Music

Does music need to be “dumbed-down” for kids? The answer became quite clear to me and my husband as we observed how our own child responded to complex melodies and varied musical styles in the first months of her life.

When I embarked on the recording of my children’s music CD (”Wake Up & Go To Sleep”, Artsong Music) shortly after my daughter was born, it didn’t occur to me to create a happy little watered down collection of songs made just for young listeners. The songs simply evolved as the experiential narrative of a new mom.

My husband, jazz guitarist and composer Pat Kelley, arranged and produced the CD bringing his rich diverse musical experience into play and giving the CD a broad stylistic range. Our daughter Katie seemed delighted by the whole project, which took four years to complete. She even contributed song writing and vocal performances.

It was only later, when the CD was released and people began to listen, that we discovered how much parents were moved by it. We have received many thanks for creating music that is a pleasure to listen to alone and with children.

Children have a more innate ability to absorb music than most adults. At a young age they have minds that are open to everything rather than filled with influences telling them what they should and should not like. Our daughter feels joy listening to Mozart, Hawaiian music, The Beatles, or Glenn Miller. Music only requires an open mind to find enjoyment in its beauty.

The earliest experience of music is in a child’s first cry. Crying has tone and is the earliest sound that expresses emotion. For many infants, the next experience of music is the intimate songs a mother sings as she rocks and soothes her baby to sleep. Indeed this is a mother’s own sound language that is completely unique to her and her baby. These may be some of the most meaningful and bonding moments of the mother/infant relationship.

But where do you go from here? If you begin to expose babies to myriad musical styles, you can witness early responses. Even in the early weeks of life, a baby will respond to complex classical works. Our daughter at three weeks old reacted to a Rachmaninoff piano concerto, eyes searching, facial changes pronounced. Clearly these sounds had a dramatic and positive effect. After having been very active kicking and fussing, she became still, seemingly enthralled in the music.

By exposing kids to a variety of musical styles, they begin to develop their response to what moves them to sing and dance, or be calmed, and even what turns them off. Critical listening can start early. And by exposing them to varied music they will develop the ability to appreciate many different styles. Your kids are completely open and ready to absorb anything new. There is no reason to limit what they hear just because you might think they are too young to understand it. Great music does not require understanding to be enjoyed and absorbed on the most organic level.

Sometimes music helps children express what they aren’t able to articulate. In the earliest days, it is often simply the sheer joy of singing and using the voice that enables a child to begin to develop a love of music. Singing just feels good, both emotionally and physically to a child. Dancing or moving to music is a natural expression of rhythm, which is part of life. Encourage your children to sing and dance and they will be more free and expressive.

As you explore the world of children’s music, also introduce the music you like to your kids. This can be a time for both of you to explore new musical styles such as jazz, classical, bluegrass, blues, funk, and a variety of world and ethnic music. If you aren’t sure what to buy, visit your local library. Most libraries have a very good section of CDs in a broad range of styles. Ask the librarian for suggestions. Try checking out a different style CD each week. Of course you can browse the Internet and visit your favorite on-line music stores. Many sites offer downloadable music samples.

Music is at the heart of a child’s spirit. In our CD “Wake Up & Go To Sleep” we celebrate that spirit and the preciousness of childhood. We make music for fun and for interaction. Music should inspire little souls to think outside the box!

As your children develop a musical vocabulary, let them take you along for the ride.
Attend outdoor concerts where kids can dance and run around to the music. Many venues offer free concerts in the summer, in a variety of styles. Get Jammin’ with your kids. It’s a blast!

Let music fill your children’s hearts with joy, and in return it will do the same for you.

Newborn to Coolutils Family Shows the Signs of Prodigy

August 30, 2005 - Softplicity has enlarged its family of Windows utilities, known under the Coolutils brand, with a new member, Total PDF Converter. The newcomer’s line of duty can be guessed from its name. Yet again a number of interesting features distinguish the program’s functionality and make it a valuable addition to the Softplicity’s Coolutils collection.

Coolutils have already endowed customers with many handy supplements to the Windows core functionality. Their sphere of application ranges form graphics and multimedia to data processing and management. Particular attention has been paid to PDF documents, which is quite natural, given their widespread use in the net. Known for its capacity to facilitate the exchange of rich content documents, PDF has become a standard carrier of important business, scientific and other information. And although PDF firmly entrenched itself as an information vessel, handling PDF docs is not always an easy thing. And not a cheap one either, when it comes to fully-functional Adobe products. To override these two major flaws, you can convert PDF to a format friendlier to editing. Total PDF Converter can make information in the web more available and easy to deal with. With its help you can extract data form its embellished vessel and put it into a more practical one, which fits your editing tasks.

Total PDF Converter features a wide range of conversion options. Along with Word Doc, Excel, HTML, Text and CSV files, it offers a number of graphic formats supported by Sony PSP and appliances for visual presentation. The converter supports multi-string characters and can be effectively used for documents with Asian layout and encoding. The speed and accuracy of conversion provided by Total PDF Converter deserve special attention. Conversion of rich content files, even of a considerable size, becomes a matter of a few seconds. An Introduction to Rhinoplasty

Nasal surgery (Rhinoplasty Surgery), the most common form of plastic surgery practiced in America today, is a procedure that alters the framework of the nose, manipulating the bone and cartilage structure and the skin to improve the appearance of the nose. It can be used to change the overall appearance of the face from one where the focus of attention was placed on the nose to one where the attention is drawn away from the nose and towards the eyes, a more natural, pleasing occurrence. When the focus of attention is directed towards any other feature on the face other than the eyes, the face is said to be out of “harmony”. Rhinoplasty surgery, when performed correctly, improves the harmony of the facial features.

Common defects corrected through the use of rhinoplasty surgery include but are not limited to a nose that is too large, too small, crooked or may contain an unwanted hump, birth defect or other deformity. If the nose has been damaged by physical trauma, the surgery may be more intensive than a mere straightening or reduction and may involve an area wider than the nose to fully reconstruct the damage, but it is still rhinoplasty surgery.

Rhinoplasty surgery is a delicate, complex undertaking and should not be entered into without thorough investigation and due diligence. You and your doctor should have many conversations about exactly what you want done and exactly how the doctor is going to accomplish fulfilling your request. Remember this: rhinoplasty surgery is both a science and an art, as is any plastic surgery. Any other surgeon has to be only competent - a plastic surgeon has to be competent and have artistic talent. It is important that the finished product create a harmonious balance with the rest of your face, be natural looking and last forever as well as being medically sound.

Rhinoplasty is different from the surgical procedure used to repair a deviated septum to improve a patient’s breathing. Although the two are quite often done simultaneously and more often than not, a simple rhinoplasty is billed to insurance companies as a deviated septum repair, one has nothing to do with the other. Repairing one’s nose to improve aesthetic appearance and surgery performed on a deviated septum to improve breathing and air flow into the lungs are completely different procedures. In the case of many rhinoplastic surgeries, the complete operation can be performed without any external incisions. And furthermore, many rhinoplasties are performed in the doctor’s office and the patient goes home after a short recovery period of several hours following the surgery, returning to work in a matter of a few days. A splint is placed around the outside of the nose for protection and is usually removed after about a week. With advanced surgical techniques, unless the reconstruction has been extensive, the need for “nose packing” to keep things in place after the surgery has been drastically reduced. There is typically some swelling after the procedure, however, after about one week your new nose will be completely presentable and most people find the return to their jobs goes smoothly and easily.

    An Introduction to Chess Sets

Chess is a popular board game across the world. While many people are content to play chess on a regular board with plastic pieces, many players who truly love the game take pride in their unique chess sets.

There are many different kinds of chess sets to accommodate all chess players. Chess sets are made out of many different materials such as glass, ivory, marble, and wood. Some chess sets are especially small or have magnetic pieces, perfect for taking on trips and playing while traveling.

People have been playing chess for many centuries. No one knows for sure where or when it originated, but it is known that people in Persia, India, and China played chess in the Middle Ages. The game spread to the Middle East next, then to Spain and the rest of Europe. It is very likely that the game pieces were altered once the game spread through Europe to take on the forms that they currently have.

The different pieces in a chess set each represent parts of medieval life. The pawns represent peasants. Just as peasants were considered unimportant to people in power, pawns are the weakest pieces in the game of chess and are used primarily as sacrifices. The rooks, or castles, represent home and sanctuary. The knight represents soldiers, who, at the time, were held in high esteem, but not as much as the church or royal family. The bishops represent priests and are considered more valuable than knights. The queen is probably the most powerful piece on the board, but the king is the one that must be protected at all costs, or the game is lost.

Chess players at all skill levels marvel at the craftsmanship that goes into creating fine chess sets. It takes true artistry to create chess sets out of wood, stone and glass. Many chess sets are extremely rare and are valuable collector’s items.
