Ken Mehlman, former chief of the Republican National Committee, advised the Grand Old Party (GOP) to attract more African American voters, because somehow, their votes have been ignored for decades. Ken Mehlman believes that it is good to restore their historic bonds among the African Americans.

Lately, Republicans have been acting positive about the GOP’s current relationship with the African American voters and its future potential as the winning party. Although black voters have conflicts with the Democrats, they still find the Democratic Party to their comfort zone - socially, politically, and historically - than the Grand Old Party. Still, the Republican Party is in continuous search for black votes to further expand their campaign. Ken Mehlman wants to change black American’s reluctance to vote for Republicans.

After the elections held last November 2006, Ken Mehlman warned the GOP to put right their conservative principles, because according to him, it was a key factor in their losses.

According to Ken Mehlman, a number of Republicans took for granted the chances of winning the African-American votes and the opportunity to receive positive political benefits from racial popularization. He mentioned this during a convention with the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), an ethnic minority supporter and civil rights organization.

With more than 120,000 pieces of cultural relics, the Shanghai Museum has a vast collection of bronzes, ceramics, and paintings and calligraphy, all divided into 11 distinct categories: Gallery of Ancient Chinese Bronze; Ancient Chinese Sculpture; Ancient Chinese Ceramics; Ancient Chinese Jade; Ancient Chinese Painting; Ancient Chinese Calligraphy; Ancient Chinese Seals; Ancient Chinese Numismatics; Gallery of Chinese Furniture in the Ming and Qing dynasties; and Gallery of Arts and Crafts by Chinese Minorities. Each gallery showcases artifacts/relics or works from different dynasties and civilization. The museum also keeps several items of national importance.
